It's more than one day of canoe races. The community and IUPUI students, faculty, and staff are invited to the annual canoe race and festival in downtown Indianapolis at Military Park.
The canoe race and festival will take place on Saturday, Sept. 24 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Regatta takes place in downtown Indianapolis on the canal. The race starts at the intersection of New York St. and Blackford St. The festival is located next to the canal in Military Park, and we will have food trucks, rides, sponsors, student organizations, and more festival fun!
Whether you are a paddler or a spectator, the event has entertainment for everyone! The event will have all of Regatta's most loved elements which includes a festival with inflatables, games, the dog costume contest, and performances by IUPUI's renowned student bands, and more.

Teams should be comprised of four people, and you can have up to two additional handlers/alternative paddlers on each team. Team captains must ensure you have the following information for each team member when signing your team up: full name, emergency contact number, IU email, and T-shirt size.
It is not an on-campus event, but it is an easy walk from the nearest parking garages and residence halls.
Yes. This will be an opportunity for you and your team to get used to the equipment and even take our canoes for a quick paddle. Practice day date: Saturday, Sept. 17 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the canal.

There are countless ways to become a part of the event. You can serve on the student-run Regatta Steering Committee, apply to be part of Regatta Royalty, get service hours for volunteering at the event, participate in Regatta Week events, represent your student organization the day of, or simply come and enjoy all that the event has to offer!
We are now accepting volunteers for this year’s race! We are looking for volunteers for the following events: Practice race (Sept. 17), event setup (Sept. 23), and race day (Sept. 24). You can sign up to volunteer online.

Red Blood Cells from IU School of Nursing finished first in the women's category with a timing of 7:26.01. With a time of 6:13.01, the FIJI team was first place in the men's division. The team Whitening Lightening with 6:06.29 from the Indiana University School of Dentistry took first place in the co-ed division.
