IUPUI Regatta Court Royalty Contest

Contest Rules and Conditions

  • Candidates must be full-time undergraduate or graduate students enrolled at IUPUI with at least 26 credit hours completed. Students must be enrolled through the fall 2021 semester.
  • Each candidate must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or above for courses completed at IUPUI.
  • Candidate applications will be judged on campus involvement, leadership qualities, scholarship, and personality. Phone interviews will take place during summer 2021. Interviewees will be notified via their campus email about interview dates and times. The semifinalists will be notified by September 9.
  • The court will reign over the events of Fall Regatta Week with the Regatta Royalty being announced at the 2021 Regatta on September 25. The Regatta Steering Committee will keep track of the points accumulated during Fall Regatta Week using a weighted point system, including points earned from interviews, attending Fall Regatta Week events, posting on social media, online voting, and raising money for scholarships.
  • All semifinalists are required to attend the following events:
    • Regatta, September 25
    • S’mores and Oars or Talent Show or Battleships
      • An update of the dates/times of these events will be sent via email.
    • Mandatory Court Orientation, September 17
  • Those crowned Regatta Royalty will each receive a scholarship of $500.
  • Completed applications are due by August 27. Late applications will not be accepted.
