The core values of Regatta have always been to instill and maintain strong Jaguar spirit through campus traditions, to serve as a symbol of unity, and to exemplify the energy of our one-of-a-kind urban campus through its work as a non-profit scholarship organization. As a result, the 2020 Regatta aims to refocus efforts towards these core values in order to re-energize IUPUI students about what it truly means to be a Jaguar!

Regatta’s 11-year history includes many strong traditions, and our goal this year is to ensure that students can continue to participate in their favorite campus traditions. We plan to hold one “Regatta tradition” event per month, including events like the Dog Costume Contest, Cardboard Boat Race, and Regatta Royalty. Additionally, we are planning virtual events including social media contests and online giveaways.
As a prominent community-centered event, our goal for this year is to shift our efforts towards more active participation in assisting local non-profit organizations. We aim to work with the IUPUI Office of Community Engagement to identify local organizations in need of support, implement service projects, participate in on and off-site volunteering, and collect supplies and funds to assist these organizations.
Regatta would not be possible without partnerships and collaboration with campus leaders and we aim to continue this tradition as a route for unification within the Jaguar community. By collaborating with different student organizations and offices around campus, the Steering Committee will have added support in providing additional programming for students and will be able to help plan events for different student populations.
